Acterna "Pocket" Power Meters
Acterna offers three models of its OLP series "Pocket" Power Meters. The OLP-5 for Datacom applications, the
OLP-6 for the Telecom market and the OLP-6 for the CATV industry. The OLP "Pocket" Power Meters are simple to use (three button operation) and provide accurate results. The OLP series can detect a modulated signal allowing for easy identification of the fiber to be tested. Each unit comes with a universal push pull (UPP) fixed 2.5mm adapter and batteries are included. The OLP-5 series offers a unique "Twintest" feature that automatically makes dual wavelength (850/1300nm) attenuation measurments when used inconjunction with the OLS-5 "Pocket" light source. In the "Twintest mode the OLP-5 makes and stores a reference measurement for each wavelength then toggels between the two wavelengths.
