LANLITE™ Series LED Light Sources

APPLICATION:
The LANLITE™ series of LED light sources was designed to provide the test technician with an inexpensive, accurate, and easy to use infrared light reference for use in making optical loss measurements in the LAN environment.  Although designed complement the LANLITE™ optical power meters, these sources will work well with any power meter in multimode testing applications.  

DESCRIPTION:
The LANLITE™ sources give the technician temperature stabilized outputs and are available in single or dual wavelength models with standard ST ports (also available with SC ports).  Power is supplied by a single cartridge loaded 9V battery (eliminating troublesome battery snaps) which will yield a typical continuous use life of over 14 hours.  A low battery indicator is included to help ensure source stability and accurate measurements.

The instruction guide is fully laminated to make it weatherproof and nearly tear-proof.   Also, when purchased with a LANLITE™ meter as a low cost test set, a waterproof carry case is included which will allow the set to survive being submerged in up to several feet of water.

Regarding durability, the LANLITE™ sources are built of machined aluminum, not plastic, and therefore have structural integrity and a feel superior to that of most fiber test equipment.  In fact, as with the TECHLITE™ products, LANLITE™ sources and meters can literally be driven over with an automobile.  Finally, the sources are very easy to use.  Simply flip the switch to the desired wavelength, let the unit stabilize for 5 minutes and begin testing.

Each unit includes 9V battery and instruction manual.  The LANLITE™ sources are also paired with the LANLITE™ Power Meter and waterproof carry cases to form the PX-D2xx LANLITE™ Test Sets.
