Available in 10/90, 20/80, 30/70, 40/60 and 50/50 coupling
ratios. Custom coupling ratios are available up on request.
Single mode couplers:
Single mode couplers split light from one fiber into two or combine light
from two fibers onto one fiber with minimum loss. This feature of single
mode couplers, which allows for duplex transmission on single fiber, is highly
desirable in fiber optic network maintenance, administration and testing.
Single Mode Couplers are available in standard wavelengths of 980nm, 1064nm, 1480nm, 1640nm. Custom wavelengths are available.
Fig.1 depicts a typical spectral response of single mode couplers
within 1300nm - 1800nm.
Tap couplers:
Tap couplers are extremely important in accessing
the signal without altering the state of polarization of the signal. FONT's
standard, wideband and wavelength flattened tap couplers are available in
1% to 5% coupling ratios with Polarization Dependent Losses (PDL) as low
as 0.05dB.
While
Single mode couplers are essential to the operation of fiber optic-based
telecommunication networks, cable TV and Local Area Networks (LANs), they
are also widely used in sensor technology, robotics technology and laboratory
test and measurements. FONT's single mode couplers are available in variety
of package styles.
