These switches from Advanced Optical employ proven electrical optical technology to provide reliable switching for complex switching requirements.

They are available for SM or MM in 1x4, 1x8, 1x16, 4x4, and 8x8 models. All switches are available in a two sided (2 plane) configuration. The 4x4 and 8x8 can also be configured as a 3 sided (3 plane) or 4 sided (4 plane) switch. The 8x8 switch is available with a "Broadcast" or "Multicast" feature.



  • 1x4 Two Plane Fiber Optic Switch. One Input/Output Fiber can be routed to one of four Input/Output Fibers.

  • 1x8 Two Plane Fiber Optic Switch. One Input/Output Fiber can be routed to one of eight Input/Output Fibers.

  • 1x16 Two Plane Fiber Optic Switch. One Input/Output Fiber can be routed to one of sixteen Input/Output Fibers.

  • 4x4 This two-side (plane) 4x4 optical switch is designed to provide cross-connect function between Input and Output channels.

  • 8x8 This two-side 8 x 8 optical switch is designed to provide cross-connect function between Input and Output channels.
