Nortech's AOE50 PC-based OTDR is a simple modular sytem that combines state-of-the-art technology and easy-to-use software. A single unit can accommodate up to 4 wavelengths plus a long operating life battery pack. The easy software package combined with the power of a notebook PC, is a cost effective means of providing a broad range of fiber test tools. The AOE50 automatically creates event tables with accurate locations and losses of splices, and can display archived data alongside live data for comparison. The AOE50 also has the ability to read trace files of other OTDR manufacturers , therefore upgrading the fiber plant can be accomplished without reconstructing the existing database.
